Hello World!!!!
I've become more enthused about assisting the teachers here at my school each day. Yesterday, September 1st, I met with a teacher that teach Trig., Algebra II and Physics. She was so excited when I told her about all the wonderful things, she could do with the Promethean board. She has been using notepad and paint from her desktop to teach on her Promethean board. When I introduced ActivInspire/Studio to her she actually "lit up". I assisted her in setting up an account on Promethen Planet and introduced her to the free online courses. I'm soooooo glad that I'm making a difference in the school, one teacher at a time. My job is great....not only am I helping others...I'm helping myself also!!!!

ReplyDeleteLooks like things are to a great start all around! By the end of my work day today, I will have observed all of the teachers' classes. I've had appointments with those teachers I observed last week and they are also enthused about the many things that can be done to incorporate technology into the classrooms.
Last Thursday, I sent out a newsletter to all of the teachers with all the sites we used in our training, as well as, other sites that I found. All of the teachers said great things about the ones they researched and they feel that having a technology intern is going to benefit them well.
