Hello World!!!!!
Well today's my second day in training and it was great. First, I learned what I am expected to do as an Intern once I'm placed in the school. I will be there to not only to help the teacher, but the school as a whole. To be successful, I will have to do Teacher Observations and Visits. I learned exactly what to do in each situation. I learned that when I'm doing observations that I should make an appointment. A very important thing that I should always do is take notes. After my initial observation and visits, it is helpful do a quick follow-up. It’s also important that I build a relationship with do teachers during my teacher visits. After lunch, I enjoyed the movie maker, even though my group had a couple of problems getting the video to save and upload. I think movie maker will be a great success in the schools. After day one and two of training…..I just know that day three is going to blow my mind. I'm getting ready to learn all I can, so that I can "UNDER PROMISE....OVER DELIVER!!!!!!!"
Learning to Pass the Knowledge On…..

I think MovieMaker will be a great resource in the schools as well. I agree with you, taking notes is and will be very important in the schools. I think our notes and the act of organization will be our close friends this year.
ReplyDeleteI've got to be honest, as much as I think making movies is fun, I think if we actually want to help the teachers, and not cause them more grief, we might just have to find some program other than "windows movie maker".
ReplyDeleteOur group also had so much trouble with it, and if I remember that was the same experience I had when I tried to use it a few years ago.
Other than that though, I think that the notes we got about how to interact with the teachers have made me feel a lot more confident about it. I hope it did for others too.
I'm glad to see that you feel more comfortable about what your role will be in the schools. One thing that I'd like to challenge you to do in your reflections is think more about why certain things are important or how you will use certain tools. Please feel free to be as specific as possible. Thanks!
